In this column, you will realise that certain ideas and thoughts of the writer or writers do not in any way agree with yours but you need not worry.

The world will be such a boring place to live if each and everyone believes and share same thoughts as we do.

You will agree and disagree with some of the issues raised but keep on reading because you will really enjoy it. Send your comments to eyeluk@yahoo.com

Do we really need racism in our society?

If people of our own race, tribe and colour are the only worthy people to love, praise and worship, then ask yourself why some people in South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East, etc. worship God through a Jew instead of one of their own countrymen?

Will you say the world is full of hypocrisy?

The choice of a Pope from Poland, and the election of the U.N Secretary General from Ghana, west Africa and many others to lead the world tell of the fact that we can always trust and rely on each other regardless of race or colour.

Do you really believe in love at first sight?

Love at first sight is wonderful and phenomenal but a very controversial issue.

I see love at first sight as lust. How can you see someone for the very first time and fall in love?

Love, you should know goes beyond just a person’s look.

Love at first sight that ends in marriage do not last. You will find out later that you did not love your partner after all.

I think knowing the person’s likes, dislikes and sharing same interests make love more wonderful and enjoying.

Marriage through this lasts more than just mere sight of a nice young man or woman.

They say talent is acquired through birth. We may ask ourselves if all of us have just a single talent on Earth. Do you agree to this?

Well, talent, I say is acquired through practise and influence of society or environment a person lives in.

If a person is born in say, Australia and finds he or she has a talent of playing a sport like rugby and moves from the country to live in Ghana for instance, will the talent still be there? Because he or she will have no chance to see or practise the favourite sport, rugby.

I tell you, the person will end up discovering a talent like maybe, football or boxing because that sport abounds in Ghana.

So you see, he or she may have another talent even though rugby is an inner interest.

Talent therefore, is a societal influence. Where you will live your life determines your talents. It cannot be inbuilt.

Have you heard that Reggie Rockstone, a popular Ghanaian musician and founder of Hip life music in Ghana is alleged to have stolen and sold a car that belongs to another person?

He has composed a song to plead his innocence. ‘I’m not guilty’, he sings.

In the song, he talks about his bill money and the car he drives which makes him quite comfortable in life.

But have you also heard that people are never satisfied with whatever they have? They still crave for more irrespective of their present worth.

Well, the case is still pending in court for ruling.

The question still remains; did he really steal and sell someone else’s property?

Did you know that the use of a straw to draw liquid from a bottle or a cup can cause a health hazard?
